It’s almost time for the NFL to shake things up again with the 2013 NFL draft just around the corner. Every fan will be watching with baited breath to see if their favorite team nabs the next NFL superstar. Here’s a look at some of this year’s prospective steals.NFL Draft 2013 | DISH TV

·         Alex Carder – Carder might not have the prototypical size of an NFL quarterback but he does have all the tools. He is a natural leader with an impressive knowledge of the playbook. His uncanny understanding of the game and strong arm make him an obvious choice for a team needing a new field general. Carder threw for 8,886 yards and 74 touchdowns while playing for Western Michigan.

·         Travis Kelce – Cincinnati’s Travis Kelce could earn a spot on an NFL roster. He completed the 2011 season with more catches than team mate Adrien Robinson who was drafted in the fourth round last April by the defending Super Bowl champs the New York Giants. Kelce is a tight end with a mean streak. He’s relentless when blocking and knows how to run after the catch. He will be a hard draft pick to ignore.

·         Cooper Taylor – Richman’s strong safety is ranked number 274 in the draft and is being ignored in mock results. But fans and critics could all be in for a surprise. Taylor boasts more collegiate football awards than most teams win collectively. He has been named as a First-team All American by the Associated Press, Walter Camp Foundation and Sports Network. He has also been named Division I National Defensive Back of the Year. Taylor finished his senior year at Richmond with 78 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, four interceptions, nine pass breakups, and three forced fumbles.

·         T.J Barnes – Fans of smash mouth football are in for a thrill in 2013. A new breed of explosive, super-sized defensive linemen are invading the NFL. Among the notables is Georgia Tech’s T.J. Barnes. Barnes combines size, power, and speed into one premium defensive package. Teams looking for an unrelenting nose tackle could run into Barnes late in the draft.

·         Keith Pough – Linebacker Keith Pough didn’t make the top of the draft list but he could be on a starting roster this fall. While at Howard, Pough was named the MEAC Defensive Player of the Year for the 2012-2013 season and is the FCS career leader in tackles for loss with an impressive 71 TFL’s. His performance at the East-West Shrine game earned Pough the Pat Tillman Award.
